Pete Bowen has been practicing and teaching leadership for more than 30 years.
An expert on ethics, leadership and culture, Pete has been a guest on national television and radio shows including the Hugh Hewitt Show, O’Reilly Factor, Discovery Channel and Fox News Channel, and been a featured speaker at academic and professional conferences. Pete’s experience includes:
- President/CEO of a leading college-prep high school in Southern California for 14 years
- Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier pilot and instructor with 11 years active duty / 24 years total service
- Teaching leadership, military history and ethics at Duke University and the University of North Carolina while serving as the officer-in-charge of the Naval ROTC at Duke
- Ethics Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District
- Award-winning instructor teaching advanced leadership in law enforcement executive graduate-level course
During his career, Bowen has led departments in information systems, logistics, operations and training, personnel administration, plant management and substance abuse counseling.
Bowen received his M.A. from Duke University and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, concentrating his interdisciplinary studies at both schools on leadership, ethics, intellectual history and culture.
